Ayurvedic treatment for Psoriasis
As per Ayurveda, every human being has three doshas (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) present in them. Vata dosha which governs flow and motion in the body, Pitta which governs the nutrition and metabolism/digestion and Kapha which provides nourishment and lubrication in the body. Any imbalance in the proportion of doshas would result in the person being unhealthy according to Ayurveda. Furthermore, Ayurveda stipulates that imbalances can occur because of lifestyle changes including diet changes, stress etc.
Psoriasis, as per Ayurveda, is due to the aggravation of 2 doshas- Vata and Kapha. This causes more toxins to be produced by the body which then accumulates within the body. These gets accumulated on the deep tissues in the skin thus causing Psoriasis.
Ayurvedic treatment for Psoriasis is based on the present condition of the patient. Ayurveda doctors considers the proportion of the three doshas in the person before deciding on the treatment course. Thus, each treatment plan will be highly personalized as it is dependent on the proportion of the doshas in that person.
